It has been three years with a lot of hard work and road miles between albums. After carefully selecting the songs for the new project, the task of giving them a voice and proper representation was Nate’s biggest concern. “After a while you begin to look at the songs as though they’re a person or living object” he laughs, “You don’t want to disappoint them.” I think most will agree that they have all been handled with care in this hodgepodge of Americana Country. Just as the title may suggest, it stays true to the original West Texas sound that fans have become accustomed to, while forging into new areas. The band has performed in seven different states on many different stages and venues and the hard work really shows in this album. Nate was able to work with friends and artist he admires on this album like Colin Boyd, Dave Perez, Gus Samuelson and Matt Hillyer.
